Atlanta's Best
Rooftop Bars.

Nothing shows you Atlanta like a view from above. Whether I'm bringing a client to see the skyline or winding down after a long closing, these rooftops are where I go to remember why I love this city.

Atlanta skyline from a rooftop bar at dusk

Atlanta's skyline has changed dramatically over the past decade, and the rooftop scene has evolved right along with it. There's something about seeing the city from above that shifts your perspective — and in a real estate market this dynamic, perspective is everything.

I've spent years taking clients to these spots, partly because the views sell the lifestyle and partly because I genuinely enjoy them. The newest additions are Bless Your Heart, the poolside rooftop at Hotel Phoenix downtown, and Florida Man above Breaker Breaker in Reynoldstown. Here are the rooftops I recommend most.

01

The Roof at Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

The rooftop that put Atlanta on the national map. Ponce City Market's rooftop has panoramic views of the city skyline, a mix of food vendors, cocktail bars, and even a retro amusement area. On a clear evening, it's the best seat in the city. Perfect for bringing out-of-town clients who want the full Atlanta experience.

02

SkyLounge at The Glenn

110 Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

Perched above downtown on the 11th floor of The Glenn Hotel, SkyLounge delivers unobstructed views of the Centennial Olympic Park area and the Midtown skyline beyond. The cocktail menu is solid, the crowd is lively, and the sunset views are hard to beat. It's my go-to when someone wants to see what Atlanta looks like from above.

03

1231 Rooftop Bar

1231 W Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

A Midtown rooftop with a more refined, low-key atmosphere. The views stretch across the Midtown skyline, and the bar program is well-curated. Less about the party, more about the setting — which is exactly why I like it. A good spot for a quieter evening with a client or a friend.

04

Drawbar at The Bellyard

1 Interlock Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Tucked into the Westside's Interlock development, Drawbar offers a rooftop-level perspective on one of Atlanta's fastest-changing neighborhoods. The cocktails are creative, the food holds its own, and the crowd skews toward people who appreciate design and detail. It's a newer spot, but it already feels like a staple.

05

Celestia

1020 Spring St NW, Atlanta, GA 30309

Atlanta's newest rooftop destination, perched atop the Ten Twenty Spring building in Midtown. The skyline views at sunset are among the best in the city, the cocktail program is well run, and reservations are recommended because it fills up fast. It's the rooftop I'm sending out-of-town clients to right now.

06

Moonlight at FORTH

800 Rankin St NE, 16th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30308

A velvet-and-striped rooftop on the 16th floor of FORTH Hotel in Old Fourth Ward. The 1970s-lounge energy and uninterrupted skyline views make it feel like a well-kept secret just off the BeltLine. A great pick when you want the city's energy with a polished, grown-up backdrop.

07

High Note Rooftop Bar

53 14th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

A newer Midtown rooftop atop the AC Hotel and Moxy, and a welcome addition to the skyline scene. The views run west across Midtown, the cocktail list is approachable, and the crowd is lively without feeling like a club. Easy to get to, easy to enjoy, and a good pick when you want the city energy without the fuss.

08

Jagger Suite

329 Marietta St NW, 10th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30313

Downtown's most talked-about rooftop of 2026: Studio 54-inspired disco glamour on the 10th floor of the Moxy, with keycard access, a hidden Powder Room speakeasy, and skyline views from every seat. It opened in spring and reservations fill up quickly, so plan ahead and dress the part.

09

Rabbit Ears

660 11th St NW, 17th Floor, Atlanta, GA 30318

West Midtown's newest skyline bar, perched 17 floors up in the Star Metals tower from Miami's Grassfed Culture Hospitality group. The cocktail program is serious, the views run across the city, and the setting trades nightclub energy for a grown-up evening. A strong pick after dinner in the Interlock or Westside Provisions area.

10

Aire Rooftop & Lounge

207 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303

Downtown's newest skyline bar, perched atop the historic Regenstein Building at 207 Peachtree from the team behind Red Phone Booth. It anchors the six-venue entertainment campus that opened in June, and the rooftop views run straight over Atlanta's core from the heart of downtown. A polished answer when you want the city's energy with a grown-up backdrop.

11

Bless Your Heart

70 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

A poolside rooftop at the new Hotel Phoenix in Centennial Yards, downtown across from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Cocktails and light bites with a view over the stadium district, and it has quickly become the spot to watch the city's newest neighborhood take shape.

12

Florida Man

921 Wylie St SE, Atlanta, GA 30316

The adults-only rooftop above Breaker Breaker in Reynoldstown, right on the Eastside BeltLine. It is a playful, sun-soaked perch with cocktails and skyline views, and Eater has flagged it as one of the best new rooftops around the city.

Atlanta rewards people who take the time to explore it. If you're relocating or just getting to know the city, these rooftops are a good place to start — they'll give you a sense of the skyline, the neighborhoods, and the energy that makes Atlanta home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which rooftop has the best view of the Atlanta skyline?

The Roof at Ponce City Market gives you panoramic skyline views with food vendors and cocktail bars, and on a clear evening it is the best seat in the city. SkyLounge at The Glenn offers unobstructed views of Centennial Olympic Park and Midtown from the 11th floor. For sunset, Celestia and Moonlight at FORTH are standouts.

Do I need a reservation at any of these rooftops?

Yes, at the newer spots especially. Celestia fills up fast and reservations are recommended, and Moonlight at FORTH and Drawbar reward planning on weekends. The Roof at Ponce City Market manages crowds with entry times and wristbands. Call ahead or book online, particularly for Friday and Saturday evenings.

Which rooftop is best for a quiet, low key evening?

1231 Rooftop Bar has a refined, low key atmosphere with a well curated bar program, less about the party and more about the setting. High Note is lively without feeling like a club, and Drawbar draws people who appreciate design and detail. All three make a great quieter evening with the skyline as the backdrop.

Is The Roof at Ponce City Market worth the crowds?

Yes, if you plan for it. It is the rooftop that put Atlanta on the national map, and the views, food vendors, and cocktail bars all deliver. Go early on a clear day or time it for sunset, and give yourself room to move. For out of town clients who want the full Atlanta experience, it is worth every minute.

Which rooftops work best for bringing clients or visitors?

The Roof at Ponce City Market is the full Atlanta experience, and SkyLounge pairs downtown views with a lively crowd that impresses easily. Celestia is the one I send out of town clients to right now, with some of the best sunset views in the city. Any of those three leaves a lasting impression.

Are these rooftops open year round?

Most operate through the year, and Atlanta's mild weather stretches well into fall and spring. Rooftops with more sheltered seating, like Moonlight at FORTH and Drawbar, stay comfortable when temperatures cool. Check hours and weather before you head up, and aim for a clear evening to get the full effect.
