Atlanta’s Best
Cigar Lounges.
When I’m not helping clients buy or sell homes across metro Atlanta, you’ll usually find me settled into one of the city’s cigar lounges — a good stick in hand, a conversation worth having. Here are a few of my favorite spots.
Atlanta has a cigar culture that doesn’t get talked about enough. For a city this size, the lounge scene is surprisingly refined — and it tells you a lot about the kind of city Atlanta really is. It’s not just about business or nightlife. It’s about pacing. About savoring something. About sitting down with someone and actually being present.
I’ve spent years visiting these spots, both as a cigar enthusiast and as someone who has relocated enough clients to know that finding your places matters. The newest additions are The Continent Restaurant and Cigar Lounge on Buford Highway in Chamblee and The Cigar Cellar in Kennesaw. Here are the lounges I recommend most.
Prime Cigar Bar
A Midtown staple with a curated selection of premium cigars and a refined atmosphere. Prime offers comfortable lounge seating, a well-stocked bar, and a walk-in humidor that caters to both seasoned aficionados and newcomers exploring the hobby. The kind of place where conversations slow down.
Cigar Village
Tucked into the East Atlanta neighborhood, Cigar Village has a loyal local following. The lounge carries a solid range of hand-rolled and premium cigars at fair prices, and the staff knows their inventory. It's unpretentious, comfortable, and easy to spend an afternoon in.
Prime on Peachtree
A sister operation to Prime Cigar Bar, this Midtown location leans into a more upscale experience. Think leather seating, a deeper humidor selection, and a quieter atmosphere for those who want to settle in with a good stick and a better conversation. One of my go-to spots in the city.
Scottish Tobacco
A Lindbergh-area institution with over 30 years in the cigar business. Scottish Tobacco carries an extensive selection of handmade cigars and smoking accessories, and the staff actually knows what they're talking about. The lounge itself is welcoming and low-key — the kind of place where regulars come back because the service stays consistent and the humidor never disappoints.
BURN by Rocky Patel
A purpose-built cigar bar at The Battery near Truist Park, and it shows. A full cedar humidor, a serious bar program, a kitchen, and regular events make it feel like a true destination. If you want the full cigar experience with the energy of The Battery around you, this is the spot.
Cutters Cigar & Spirits
The newly opened flagship in Alpharetta is worth the drive north. A 4,000-square-foot lounge with one of the largest humidors in the Atlanta area, an outdoor smoking patio, and a private club room. It treats cigars as an occasion, and the service matches the setting.
Highland Cigar
Inman Park's neighborhood lounge and one of the most consistently recommended rooms in the city. A properly kept walk-in humidor, comfortable seating, and staff who know their inventory make it easy to settle in. It sits right on North Highland, so it's a natural stop before or after dinner in the neighborhood.
Fellaship
The lounge brand founded by former NFL quarterback Cam Newton sits a short walk from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, pairing a comfortable smoking room with a full restaurant and bar so you can stay for dinner and a cigar in one sitting. It has drawn a steady following since opening, and the location makes it a natural pre-game or post-game stop.
The Cigar Bar
The east side of the metro gets a proper lounge. A Black-owned upscale spot in Lithonia that pairs a solid cigar selection with a full bar, hookah, tapas, and live entertainment most nights. Billing itself as Atlanta's newest upscale bar and cigar lounge, it brings a different kind of energy than the quieter intown rooms. A good reason to explore DeKalb County's east side.
The Continent Restaurant and Cigar Lounge
A newer Caribbean restaurant and cigar lounge on Buford Highway in Chamblee. It pairs a proper smoking room with craft cocktails and DJ nights, which gives the north DeKalb corridor a lounge with real personality.
The Cigar Cellar
A newer upscale lounge in Kennesaw that pairs cigars with premium whiskey and a full menu. It is an easy recommendation for anyone on the northwest side of the metro who wants the lounge experience without driving all the way intown.
If you’re relocating to Atlanta, finding the right spots is part of settling in. And whether you’re a cigar enthusiast or just looking for a comfortable place to decompress, the city has something. These are the places I’d point a friend toward — and the kind of local knowledge I bring to every client conversation.

Schedule a CallFrequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own cigars to these lounges?
Most lounges expect you to buy your cigars from their humidor, and that is part of what keeps the experience premium. A place like BURN by Rocky Patel treats the visit as a full package with food and drinks. If you are unsure, call ahead and ask, most spots are happy to explain their policy.
Which lounge is best for a first time cigar smoker?
Start somewhere welcoming and low key. Scottish Tobacco has more than 30 years in the business and a staff that explains things without pressure, and Cigar Village is unpretentious and easy to settle into. Tell them you are new and they will point you toward a milder smoke and a comfortable place to sit.
Do I need a membership to visit these lounges?
No. Prime Cigar Bar, Prime on Peachtree, and BURN by Rocky Patel welcome walk ins and are comfortable for a casual visit. Cutters has a private club room for members, but its main lounge and patio are open to the public. Membership is an option for regulars, not a requirement to enjoy the space.
Are cigar lounges a good way to meet people after moving to Atlanta?
They really can be. Lounges are built for slow conversation, and people stay for hours. For a new resident, that is a relaxed way to build a routine and get to know a neighborhood. I have seen relocating clients settle into the city faster once they have their regular spots.
What should I look for when choosing a lounge?
Start with the humidor, the seating, and the staff. A well maintained humidor means the cigars are stored properly, and knowledgeable staff make the experience better for everyone. Then match the atmosphere to your pace: quiet and refined at Prime on Peachtree, or lively and event driven at BURN by Rocky Patel.
Do any of these lounges have food or a full bar?
Yes. BURN by Rocky Patel has a full kitchen and a serious bar program alongside its cedar humidor, and Prime Cigar Bar keeps a well stocked bar. Cutters pairs its large humidor with spirits and an outdoor patio. If you want drinks and food with your smoke, those are the spots.
